IQ Score Trends
IQ scores have been on the rise in most parts of the world since the 20th Century. The increase has been approximately 3 IQ points per decade - the world population just keeps getting smarter! Since this is quite the phenomenon, it even has a name. It is called the Flynn Effect, thanks to a Mr. James R. Flynn.
Possible explanations for the rise in IQ test scores (Flynn Effect) include better nutrition, improved education, and smaller families, but there has yet to be a conclusive finding. Some researchers are of the opinion that the Flynn Effect no longer exists in certain fully developed countries.
